Our Commitment to Youth, Families, and the Community
Middleville Youth Athletics is committed to providing accessible, positive, and well-organized athletic opportunities for youth in our community.
We believe strong governance, responsible financial stewardship, and clear communication are essential to maintaining the trust of the families, volunteers, sponsors, and community partners who support our programs.
MYA is a volunteer-led nonprofit organization serving youth through baseball, softball, football, flag football, wrestling, and related athletic programming.
Board of Directors
MYA is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. Board members contribute their time to oversee programs, establish policies, support volunteers and coaches, manage organizational resources, and help ensure that MYA continues to serve local families.

Board Responsibilities
The MYA Board of Directors is responsible for:

Establishing organizational policies and procedures

Supporting safe, inclusive, and age-appropriate youth athletic programs

Overseeing organizational finances and budget planning

Approving major purchases, investments, and program initiatives

Supporting coaches, volunteers, and program directors

Maintaining compliance with nonprofit, insurance, league, and safety requirements

Reviewing concerns and feedback from families, coaches, volunteers, and community partners

Protecting the long-term sustainability of MYA programs
Financial Stewardship
MYA is committed to using registration fees, sponsorships, grants, donations, and fundraising proceeds responsibly to support youth athletics in the Middleville community.
Funds may be used to support athlete scholarships, equipment purchases, safety equipment, field preparation, league fees, insurance, coach and volunteer resources, and long-term program improvements.
MYA works to maintain affordable registration costs while continuing to improve equipment, facilities, safety resources, and athlete development opportunities.

2025 IRS Form 990 Filing Extension
MYA timely filed an IRS extension for its 2025 annual return. The 2025 Form 990 is currently being prepared and will be posted when filed.
Meetings and Community Input
MYA values respectful feedback from families, coaches, volunteers, sponsors, and community members.
Board meetings are held regularly throughout the year. Certain portions of meetings may be reserved for board business, confidential athlete matters, personnel concerns, legal matters, or other information that should not be discussed publicly.
Families and stakeholders are encouraged to submit questions, concerns, or suggestions through the appropriate MYA communication channels.
Policies and Expectations
MYA is committed to creating a positive environment that prioritizes athlete development, sportsmanship, safety, respect, and community.
All participants, coaches, volunteers, parents, and spectators are expected to support these standards.
MYA may adopt and enforce policies related to athlete eligibility, coach and volunteer conduct, parent and spectator behavior, safety procedures, team placement, roster decisions, financial assistance, conflict resolution, social media, and communication expectations.
